Add a splash of fun and creativity to your dining space while keeping your butter fresh and accessible.
Bright, bold, and full of personality, this handmade ceramic stoneware Butter Dish began it’s life as a simple flat slab of clay that I stamp, shape, and form by hand.
Many of my pieces feature tiny dot appliqués or hand-cut decorative details—little moments of texture and whimsy that make each dish truly special.
Each butter dish is designed to hold a single ¼ lb stick of butter.
I start each dish by staining it black to make the patterns and textures pop, then paint 3–4 careful coats of vibrant, food-safe glaze. Each piece takes approximately 6-8 hours just to apply the colors. I absolutely love the look of these satin matte glazes and they have such a lovely silky touch.
You will be receiving the exact one-of-a-kind piece of art that you see in these pictures.
